breaking the silence

I've been away...but I'm back. Working on a new project for Tiff & Mike's house. This is to be their front walkway.

Here I am in one of the oldest and culturally rich cities in the world. Yes, I went to the Hagia Sophia today and saw dozens of amazing mosaics crafted hundreds of years ago made of smalti and gold. But those are famous and easy to research elsewhere.

I was also taken by these orbs lighting up the street near our hotel. I want one...will make when I get home. School project anyone?

tying up loose ends...

I'm leaving for Turkey tomorrow, then India. So I won't be posting here for about 6 weeks. I will, however, be posting on the veggie voyager... www.theveggievoyager.com
